Each day in Yelapa you awaken to the sounds of the jungle and the rhythms of the ocean. We will have daily yoga sessions in the mornings, gently opening our bodies to the day ahead. Afternoon classes will be varied, from restorative yoga or yoga in the pool to visits to local spots we love to share. On one of our days together we’ll walk up the river trail to a waterfall and enjoy a picnic lunch and a swim. You’ll have time to rest or explore the beach and town. All classes will be appropriate for all levels, beginners are welcome.

Spaces Open: We have a woman in a two bed room looking for a female roommate and we have a two-person room open that can be for two people or a single person (with the upgrade).

Yelapa

Yelapa is a small coastal village, accessible by boat only. It is not an island but the end of a peninsula where roads have not been developed. There are no cars in Yelapa; mules and horses are still used for transportation. Walking is an integral part of the Yelapa experience; everywhere we go is on our two feet!

Yelapa is steeped in beauty; the beach, the river, the forests, the plants, the birds and the village. This trip requires a lot of walking on uneven terrain. Our hotel is located right on the upper bay and the dining hall is 120 steps up to it or there is a longer, more gradual trail. Walking is our way of life this week.

Not Included:

• Airfare: Fly into Puerto Vallarta on Saturday, February 1 before 5:00 PM and depart on Saturday, February 8, after 1:00 PM. On the 1st those of us who are interested will gather to go out for dinner together, details TBA .We will meet at the Town Dock at 9:30 Sunday, Feb, 2 for our boat to Yelapa and will return to the PV pier at 11:00 AM on the 8th; it is a 30-minute drive to the airport.

• 1 night lodging (Feb. 1) in Puerto Vallarta on arrival. Come a couple days early and enjoy Puerto Vallarta! We are recommending the Hotel Rosita.

• Round trip transfer airport/ PV hotel (~ $45)

• Dinner and hotel in Puerto Vallarta Feb. 1st

• 1 lunch and 2 dinners in Yelapa (to allow you the chance to explore the village eateries and enjoy some free time).

• Boat transportation to Yelapa if you arrive/depart at a different time than our group
