If you  have not practiced for a while or are interested in the basics of the yoga practice this is a good place to begin. With keen attention to form and alignment we learn the foundations of Yoga: the poses (asanas) as well as breath work and meditation.  All bodies are welcome.

 Yoga for Beginners  A 7 week series Thursdays, 5:30 - 6:45, Sept. 14 - Nov. 2 .  Limit 10 people. $80

  • Learn to be mindful and develop a deeper relationship with the mind, body and heart.
  • Experience the basic asanas (postures) and benefits.
  • Investigate the breath and how it can assist in movement and promoting stress reduction.
  • Explore relaxation and ease in the body and mind
  • Prepare for group yoga classes.
  • Touch on some of the philosophical and historical roots of the practice.
